Today is National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day. Just last week one of the long-time, best-loved members of Lakewood's Tent City community passed away. Her name was Nina. Today she'll be remembered in the Tent City and beyond.
Each person at the Tent City has a story. Below I have included the legal certifications from some of the residents as well as from minister Steve Brigham, community leader. These certifications have been submitted as part of the fight against eviction. I invite you to take some time today to read and really to see the human face of homelessness.
