A couple of times I've inadvertantly shut the wireless connection on my Dell Inspiron laptop off. Rebooting doesn't help when this happens. I'm not sure what I did to get it going again the first time, but the second time I figured it out. It's simple.
Apparently I hid the F2 key, or some combination of it with the Alt key. Doing this just for a second kills the wireless connection. In order to turn wireless back on though you are going have to hold down the F2 key for around 30 seconds. Just hold it, and no other key, down until you see the icon change to indicate the computer is searching for signal. At this point, so long as there is signal to be had, you should be fine.
I told you it was simple.
