A few years ago I was hurting emotionally and -- I guess you can say -- spiritually due to a very bad experience ministering for a church. Wow. That seems like a whole other life now. When I actually got to the point where I was willing to look at a "Christian" website or really think about theology again, I stumbled across "The Blind Beggar." Blogging was new to me, and Blind Beggar, maintained by Rick Meigs, became one of the first I began to read on a regular basis. Rick's big thing was, and still is, missional living. Life has moved on for me since then, and my experiences with all things church-related haven't convinced me of the value of spending a lot of time on religion as a topic. Still, it hit me pretty hard to hear Rick has been in a motorcycle accident.
Details seem sketchy, but it seems he was riding his motorcycle from a rally to visit some missional folks when an oncoming vehicle crossed into his lane and clipped him. It was a hit and run, and he was hurt pretty badly.
