The following are links to some posts in which I mulled over the role of Christians in interfaith relations. Western Christians are no longer allowed the easy option of isolationism that was available in the past, due to modern forms of communication that connect us instantly with people around the world. Travel and immigration has also opened up connections between people groups that never existed before. In this context, it behooves us to look at how we can relate to people of other religious traditions without compromising our own convictions or the "Great Commission." These posts are offered only as a small attempt at starting reflection and discussion.

I enjoyed reading these posts, Adam. I haven't commented on them, because I've been mulling my thoughts over. I think I've ultimately decided to work on my own blog post about interfaith relations rather than commenting directly on your posts, as my thoughts don't really seem to directly relate to any particular point you've made anyway. I do hope you'll offer your responses and further thoughts after I get something posted, though.
ReplyDeleteActually, I'm aware of the talk about starting an interfaith synchroblog. I think it's a great idea. I haven't heard about either of the issues you mentioned, however. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteI've already expressed interest in participating in such a synchroblog and am looking forward to getting involved when the opportunity arises.
