Naturalization Interview: Take Two

Cris' naturalization interview is tomorrow (Friday, 22 August 2008). She's going to have to re-take the written test as well as provide our past 3 years of tax returns and a translation of our marriage certificate. I know people with practically no English skills and who weren't required to provide this extra documentation who were naturalized months ago, so it's frustrating she has to do it again. It all depends on who interviews her, and she has no choice. Whoever calls her in first will interview her.

Please pray for Christiane. U.S. citizenship means a great deal to her.

  1. I will be praying. I just went through this process myself.

    This is an amazing experience.

  2. Cheryl and Mike, thanks to you both. I'll post an update as soon as I know something. I REALLY REALLY HOPE this goes well this time. I was sure she had it last time, and it was terribly disappointing when she didn't. This time if her request isn't approved the entire case will be dropped and we'll be back at square one. She said last night she won't bother with it for a good long time if we have to start over. It costs well over $1000 to go through naturalization.
